Begins with Proper Worship-Part 1"

Our Core Purpose:
To Demonstrate God's Love (Service)
We are a place where the hurting can find comfort, the distressed can find
peace, and the lonely can find friendship. We demonstrate God's love as we serve
the needs of others in the name of Christ - both inside and outside the church
walls.
To Educate God's People (Discipleship)
Our learning experience is enhanced through Sunday School, group Bible study,
and the preaching and teaching of God's Word. We teach through the power of
God's Spirit, by the authority of the Scriptures, and by our lives. Spiritual
growth occurs as we daily walk by faith, allowing Christ to live His life
through us.
To Celebrate God's Presence (Worship)
Our worship experience is a celebration of God's presence in the lives of His
people. We worship through songs of praise, thanksgiving, and fellowship with
one another. Human beings were created to know and worship God. He alone is
worthy of our worship. We are strengthened as we celebrate God's presence
together in worship.
Our Core Aim:
A Bridge to People
Since people matter to God, and we strive to be used by God to touch the lives
of others. The church must build bridges to those who are not yet followers of
Christ, to those who are unchurched, and to those seeking a church home.
God invites us to join Him in this task; because He is at work in the lives of
people all around us, He shows us ways that we can build bridges to people, and
ways that we can pull down the barriers that keep people apart from Christ and
away from church.
The most effective bridges are built by members of the C.P.B.C. who establish
relationships of integrity with unchurched friends, neighbors, and co-workers.
Relationships provide opportunities to share a verbal witness with unchurched
persons and invite them to worship with us.
Jesus' command to His disciples is plainly presented to us in Acts 1:8. "and you
shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even
to the remotest part of the earth." Acts 1:8 (NASB)
A Positive Worship Experience
When people attend C.P.B.C. our aim is to provide them with a worship experience
that is inspiring, encouraging, and challenging. Above all, the worship leads
people to encounter God. Our worship is a time of celebration of praise as we
experience God's presence and power in our lives. Our worship is also a heart
felt time of reflection as we consider God's great attributes and our great
needs.
